How do you stay motivated to get your own workouts done, when you are training all day long?
Often times motivation is fueled by goals. They can be as simple, as mine, complete two to three strength training sessions in a week, and 3 to four runs. I log these on a calender. I am flexible enough to change the runs to long walking sessions or hikes, or the strength training to surfing or biking. Often times I recruit clients or friends to come along. My goal is to do something fun and active every day, preferably outdoors. While many lifestyle coaches believe that goals are more motivating when they are S.M.A.R.T. I personally work best with less restrictions. I will assess my week and mentally plan my time to exercise. Sometimes, it is between clients, before, or after. This is an individual choice based on what works for you.
