Can you properly provide a complimentary fitness session to prospective clients without burdening them with all the forms?
I want to provide a referral gift certificate good for a free session to each of my current clients. A client would give her gift card to someone she thinks will have a genuine interest in my services. For that one complimentary session, what is your best practice with the signed forms to keep yourself covered without burdening your prospect?
Thanks for your input. I’m taking your advice, and clients are filling out the health history and waivers before any workouts are done, even complimentary sessions. Giving a referral gift certificate to each client to pass on to a friend at Christmastime was received well.
Since my business takes place in my clients’ homes, trust is essential. So for the complimentary consultation, I meet new clients at their favorite coffee shop, and I buy their coffee or beverage. This gives us time to get acquainted and if they are comfortable with me, to fill out the forms and make our plans for meeting in their home.
It’s great to be part of such a supportive community. Thanks again!
