My client who has been training with me for 6 months now is on a restrictive diet. He is not vegan but he does not eat meat or eggs. As a meat eater I am finding it difficult to give him guidance as he progresses. He asks me regularly for recipies and for more information regarding athletes and weightlifters who are vegetarian. Although I do search online I am not coming up with a lot of information about athletes and weightlifters on vegetarian diets. Another question vegetarian clients need as much protein as meat eaters to build and maintain muscle?

Since I’m not a nutritionist, I don’t make specific dietary recommendations. I know it’s harder to get all your nutrients as a vegetarian and even harder than that as a vegan. This might be a good time to refer to a dietician.
