How do you find your next trainer for you private business?
Eric, Congratulations on growing your business. One great trainer can increase revenue by thousands per month for your business.
I have been hiring trainers for several years now and can say that Craigslist has brought in applicants, but the quality has not been great from those applicants. I still have one from craigslist so I can not knock it for the price.
IDEA now offers a recruiting options to post jobs on multiple websites. Its called “Talent Connect”.
This has provided several quality candidates from my area as well as trainers looking to move my area from as far away as the UK. (Most of my locations are around Charleston, SC)
I would highly recommend checking it out.
If you have not already done so, think about setting up a system for hiring and on-boarding that saves you time.
One suggestion is to do the first interview in groups of 5 or more. This will save you time on the duds. It also shows the good candidates that they have some competition. I have found that the good trainers who really want to work will make even more effort to complete the hiring process faster when they know that there are other candidates.
Hope this helps.
