When I first started out, I checked to see what everyone in my area was charging. Then I charged about 25% less until I had enough clients to make a living. I kept those clients on the low rate while I increased my fees to the area’s going rate for all new clients. I did offer packages back then, but after a while I found that it didn’t make enough difference in my revenue. So I stopped offering packages. I do give my regular clients free session coupons a few times a year that they can use or give to someone else if they like. Sometimes I will give one coupon for them and one specifically for a friend as well.
My current fee system is a sliding scale that is determined by what the client needs/can afford/is budgeting and how much of my time will be needed to design and implement their program.
