How do I use a tablet to my advantage for Personal Training Sessions?
I recently purchased my first tablet (I know I’m behind the times but I only have five client’s and really had no need for a tablet at home). Until this point, I created clients workouts on my PC. I would print a hard copy and take it with me to the session. I would use that a copy for 4-6 weeks, make notes on it as we progressed. I would then update workout in my PC and make a new copy. Now that I have a tablet, I would like to take the tablet with me and eliminate the hard copy of the workout. Any suggestions on how to get the workout from my PC to the tablet.. software, apps – what do I need to make the tablet work for me?
Keeping it simple and short, there are 2 major routes to consider. 1 use software or apps on your tablet that mimic what you were doing on your PC. Or 2 use a more specialized approach focused on PT.
1: If you were successful and didn’t have any issues running your business from your PC, use the tablet friendly apps from the software you were using but find creative ways to do this in session with your clients.
2. If you had any issues such as the burden of the administrative work was overwhelming, it was difficult to schedule time with clients, it was hard to see if your clients were doing your plans, then I would recommend looking at some software companies focused on making the lives of PTs easier such as www.virtuagym.com/software
