How do I train for a race like “Tough Mudder”?
This was asked a long time ago but I wanted to add something here. I did a zombie mud run two years ago and it was one of the best experiences I have ever had! (Being chased by zombies, covered in mud, and climbing rope ladders I must be a glutton for punishment!) Anyway I trained by taking my kids to the playground, not kidding. We would play games of tag (prepping me for the zombie part), I would climb on everything (rope ladder, check!), and I would practice jumping fences (had to jump a wall in the race), it kept my kids busy and plus on race day I was far more prepared then I thought I was! Be creative, get outside, run, jump, climb etc on everyday objects or playground equipment. It worked for me!
