Also, eat some mud, then eat some more, then do your workout covered in mud. When you are done with that, roll in some freezing cold mud.
Haha, just kidding; although, this is not too far from the truth.
You will want to be the strongest and most flexible possible. I would do cross training to build up the cardiovascular system, and weights for endurance strength.
