How do I manage class bookings?
I’m thinking of starting a fitness studio offering spinning classes etc. I think I’ll allow people to sign up for membership and let them go to as many free classes as they want. They will need to book classes so we don’t have too many people turning up at the same time.
How does your class booking system work? If you have an online booking system how many customer use it? I would imagine most customers just call you or book their next class after their last one. Do you have someone sitting there all day dealing with class bookings?
How do you deal with no-shows? People who pay monthly and don’t have to pay for each class have nothing to lose by not showing up for a class they booked.
I’d love to hear from gym managers as well as customers.
Thank you
If you want the simplest to use booking system for current members, then influx is worth a go: https://influxhq.com
It is based in the cloud and manages membership limits, waitlists, and concession cards.
Michael,
look into the mind/body online system.
We use it for classes at one of the studios I work for and clients book themselves. They will be charged by the system if the don’t show, cancel late etc.
Sometimes our teachers put the clients into the schedule right after they teach their class and also handle the cancellations.
There is no front desk staff to deal with this and mind/body is straight forward.
