How do I make my answers and questions non public?
This is a great point. Last year I had contacted IDEA fit to suggest they create a separate sign in form for non IDEA members“ sometimes if you answer a question and you look back to the person asking to see how to couch the answer (and you do not want to insult a professional by simplifying, nor do you want to confuse a client by being over complicated) I noticed that their home page is the same as that for the professional. I think it would be helpful to have two ways to enter the forum“. for a lot of reasons. As you say, you could have an area for the kind of questions the public asks, and another for professionals. Also, when a non professional makes a form it might be confusing to them to have too many fields to enter. If they were simply asked for a name and a geographic location , or just a few fields it might be helpful.
If you get some information about the availability to set search parameters please let me know.
thanks
Hi Paul,
You can hide your answers from your profile by visiting your “My Account” page and then click on the “Answers” tab. Once you are on that tab you will see a sub tab called “My Answers”. Once you click on the My Answers link you will see a little gear button to the right of each one of your answers. Click on the gear and select “Hide on Public Profile”.
There isn’t currently a way to make your questions not public. However, if you visit your public profile, you will notice that we don’t display any questions that you ask, only questions you answer.
Hope this helps.
