The best way that i’ve gotten new business is through referrals from my small-group classes. If someone brings me a new client and they sign up, they get 2 free classes. For me it works beautifully because I do most of my training in small groups so it doesn’t cost me time to let a client come to two extra classes. The $30 I lose in free classes makes itself back more than tenfold for each sale I make.
The second best way that I’ve gotten new business is to bring fliers into my group exercise classes. When I have an opening in my small-group class, I bring fliers into my group-ex classes and give a little introduction that I also do small-group and one on one training.
Not as successful but have had some success:
Donating sessions at school auctions and other charity events
Participating in fundraisers
Staffing a table at a health fair
Taking my class outside to a local corporate green space (that my gym has access to) for visibility
