I currently work at corporations instructing boot camps, but I’m currently employed by someone else. I have had such good feedback from my classes that i need to venture on my own. I know I can take a portion off their premium but do i need to talk to their insurance? Need ideas and advice thank you
If you are employed by someone else are they contracting you to teach classes at those corporations? if so, venturing out on your own may be a conflict of interest on both sides. If it isn’t, I agree with Paul Daniels – flat fee is the way to go. Keep in mind you may need to do more than instruct. You may be asked for some reporting too (how many people attend your class, etc.) Make sure you understand what is expected. If you are venturing out on your own, you will need to have a plan for coverage in the event you are unable to teach.
