I am an Independent Trainer working out of a gym for over 2 years. I offer free first session, package specials, do different events (free seminars on working abs, cardio, fitness assessments etc), I have a Facebook fan page, offer Bootcamps and do a monthly newsletter. It’s been a slow go and I need to increase my income. Do you have any other suggestions
Hi Heather. Getting new clients can definitely be tough! I’ve found that offering too many “free” services diminishes the value of the services that you should be paid for. Perhaps cutting back on those “freebies” will bring your services more in demand. Also, have you considered offering small group training (other than Bootcamps – which aren’t for everyone)? This is definitely the current trend in fitness and because of the economy small group training has become more and more attractive to paying clients.
