You don’t tell us how much protein that is for you to double it. And timing of protein fueling is more important than eating protein at the wrong time. I you give me some more details I might be able to make a suggestion.
But I would recommend speaking to a registered dietician and getting exact advice for you and your situation.
Just out of curiosity, who told you to do that? If it were anyone other than your physician or a Dietician, I wouldn’t be so quick to do that. It certainly doesn’t sound like a Dietician’s or a Physician’s recommendation to me since it’s way too vague (although some Physicians can be with dietary recommendations). Anyway, to give you an answer, I agree with the recommendations you’ve gotten so far. Stick with the leaner sources – chicken, turkey, fish, etc. I would avoid protein bars & supplements & stick with real food – the quality of protein is much better. Good luck Cynthia but be sure to get more specific instructions on this.
Hello Cynthia Rolfe,
What is the reason to double protein intake with a fat concern? Is this doctor or registered dietitian recommended? I hope so, if not, please ask your doctor for assistance.
The others offer great help with a link. Quinoa is also supposed to be a complete protein in the plant family.
Take care of yourself,
Natalie aka NAPS 2 B Fit.
