Here is my latest video on a quick health breakfast:
What other quick, hot, healthy breakfast’s do you use in your food plan or with you clients?
In the colder mornings… nuked Trader Joe’s rolled multi-grain oats, with one tablespoon of oat bran, one of wheatgerm, one of brewer’s yeast and a half an apple. For a different warm breakfast, creamed buckwheat. In the warmer mornings an egg, with left over veggies, or a Clif bar with an apple.
I work regularly with an RD. she tells people a piece of wheat toast with one tablespoon of peanut butter.
I have two go to breakfasts that are rather quick.
1) A piece of fruit and a bowl of oat meal flavored with honey and raisins or apple butter and dried cranberries. (This is my breakfast on days that I know that I am going to have a highly active morning)
2) 6 oz of fat free yogurt, a piece of whole wheat toast and some kind of fruit. (This is my lighter breakfast for my slower days)
I’ve never been much of a “breakfast food” type of person…. not to say that I don’t eat breakfast but that I don’t eat what is typically considered breakfast food.
The words here are “quick” and “healthy”! I usually have leftovers from last night’s dinner and that night I will package it up to bring with me to the fitness center. I wake at 5 a.m.
It may be a “breakfast” salad with hard boiled eggs & fruit …. or a breakfast sandwich on 2x protein bread. (sometimes a PB& J on same bread)
Apple quarters with almond butter or peanut butter and bananas too!
If I forget then it’s a Greek Yogurt and a Cliff bar!
