HCOA Fitness Gym?? Any feedback of working in there?
I have a test session today with HCOA Fitness as a personal trainer. I went to an interview yesterday that last 10 minutes or less. They want to see me training a client. I guess I have to bring my session plan and everything. Also any feedback of working in here as a trainer? The fee per session is very low.
Hi Annette,
I looked at the HCOA information. It’s obviously a rather large chain of clubs. I could not find any information on their site about prices but you may want to educate yourself what a member will be charged for personal training versus what you will get in return.
Since you are to “train” a client, I owuld certainly have an outline for a healthy person. But, as an NASM certified trainer, you also know how to do an assessment, and that may give you an opportunity to demonstrate your skills. Not knowing the qualifications of the other trainers there, I can only speculate but this may give you the opportunity to set yourself apart right from the beginning.
Good luck with your training session.

Hello Annette Eliza,
Good luck. Pay rates/session will be lower than personal training for yourself because of so much overhead with business; but, it is steady pay if you are hired on a regular schedule. I have never worked for them; but, it looks like a huge business that should serve you well as an employee. You may want to speak with the current employees where you are applying to get their input and look around to feel the vibe if employees and clients are happy.
Take care,
Natalie aka NAPS 2 B Fit.
