Have you tried merino wool apparel for either teaching or your own workouts?
Hi Katie,
I would not try it for the world because I am allergic to wool. But I know of people who wear wool while hiking.

I’ve never tried it personally due to the fact that it never really gets cold enough to need something like that where I live (Austin, TX). However, it sounds like it would be great for outdoor activities in cold weather like hiking at higher altitudes or cross country skiing. This is assuming, of course, that you’re not allergic to it.
Katie, what has been your experience with it? Or are you skeptical about trying it and, thus, searching for what other people think about the material?
I have a lot of merino wool products, from “smart Wool” socks in different lengths and thicknesses to merino wool tops and bottoms as a first layer undr fleece. Also gloves and mittens, but of course I live in Wisconsin, Where we only have 3 months of bad sledding. Plus most of my personal workouts are done outside in parks or on Ice Age Trail!
