I know that some trainers post ads on Craigslist but I have never tried.

I have never used Craigslist before, but I know other trainers who have and they got clients from there. It’s a good way though to post an ad when looking to hire new trainers.

I got mostly solicitations from other businesses trying to sell me stuff. Be careful and use the fake email address that Craig’s list offers. All in all it’s a quick and dirty way to get your name out there.

I’ve found meet-up to be more profitable than craigslist, with less spamming.

I used the craigslist in Madison WI and I got a lot of leads from it. I can’t say the same for Dallas and Washington DC. This tells me that the market is very different in these 3 cities and the way of people looking for trainers differs from city to city. But I’m sure others have different experiences with craigslist. It’s an easy and cheap way of advertising so I can’t complain since I didn’t have to invest anything to it.

Tried Craigslist for a while years ago. Never had any leads end up being clients.
