Have any of you taken any marketing classes to help with personal training?
Just curious if anyone has taken any kind of marketing classes. Which ones have you taken to help with Personal Training? Have they helped you bring more clients in the door?
I would love to learn more about marketing so I can get more clients and in the future be more successful, but I want to make sure I am spending my money wisely.
Hi Missy,
I have gotten quite a few client leads and my current job from my profile here on IDEAFIT.
I’m also going to try a new app from Mindbody which will help with marketing. You can check it out at www.mindbodyonline.com for more information. If you think it is something you would like to try I can give you the name & contact number of the person I am working with.
Hello Missy Reece,
This forum, www.score.com and local business group. Classes are offered at libraries, also.
Take care,
Natalie aka NAPS 2 B Fit.
Hi Missy,
Great question, I know many of us struggle with the same issue. Something I’ve found helpful with marketing my gym business is reading blog posts on how you can use unique ways to market your gym, like taking advantage of members’ smartphone devices. http://blog.netpulse.com/ has a ton of relevant articles that can really help change the way you see marketing!
Best,
Tyler
I have not taken any marketing classes. However, I have several techniques and tips that I use which has made my business skyrocket.
You do not need any marketing classes (in my opinion). There are so many great tips, ideas on the internet – just find and search for them.
The SINGLE best thing you can do to make your business grow is learn about SEO. If you can perfect that and get better at it – I guarantee your business will skyrocket.
I’ve self taught myself about SEO through reading, audiobooks and youtube. It works! I have 3 full-time trainers and we’re all busy ALL the time. We actually “fire” no serious clients. Business is that good to where, if we get clients who are not serious, not following our plans we refund them for used sessions and say “come back when you’re ready.”
SEO, SEO, SEO. I love the book how google work, any books that will teach how to build backlinks naturally, learn about white hat SEO and basically anything that has the word SEO and has good ratings is worth reading.
Remember, S.E.O. If you can rank high on google in your area, you will be very successful. My company does and I didn’t pay for it, I just did it like I mentioned above. Self taught, took awhile but it’s well worth it.
here’s a link to a google search done in my area: https://www.google.com/search?q=personal+trainer+severna+park&ie=utf-8&o…
My company Repke Fitness, which is only 3 years old ranks #1 for the keywords “personal trainer millersville, MD”
I’m not bragging, just want to show you that SEO works and if you can rank high – you will get non-stop steady flow of clients.
Good luck!
