I worked with a business coach for 4 weeks and wish I could have continued but I could not afford her at this time. However, in those 4 weeks we accomplished a lot. She wanted a deep understanding of my business, where I am and where I would like to go. Also, because my business was suffering an identity crisis due to circumstances that changed how I can participate in my business, she helped me clarify those issues with the right questions. In other words, by asking open ended questions I was able to clarify my vision of the future of my business. She offered resources and templates to help me in setting business goals and important information on tracking my businesses success. I also worked with a coach in a group format that I really enjoyed. Her expertise was getting us out of our comfort zone and she always had assignments for us to complete before the next session.
If you’re anything like me, I have too many ideas, start too many projects, get scattered and my past is littered with uncompleted projects. As a result of coaching, I was able to be more focused in 2015, definitely tried doing things out of my comfort zone and greatly improved my understanding of online marketing, which was my goal.
I would definitely recommend having a coach. It can help in shortening the learning curve and staying focused on the important things. Hope that helps!
Hi Jennifer, the past two years, I have hired a business coach to help me put systems in place, which have help my business out a lot. Also as Marcum said, meet-up is another option that helps, I’ve join great groups from meet-up.
