Has anyone try Evolution Nutrition software?
You can only create meal plans on there if you are a Registered Dietitian or Licensed in Nutrition. They don’t allow fitness professionals to create meal plans from scratch, as it’s out of scope of practice and they could get into legal trouble.
But it has a nice data base of meal plans for fitness professionals to print off for their clients. I’ve tried it out for a while.
Is there anything out there that is similar but more for nutritionists? I think this program is great for personal trainers and focuses mainly on weight loss and calorie counting. I’m looking for a similar program for professional use as a nutritionist to create meal plans, grocery shopping lists, bmr, bmi, client trending… etc
I just asked a similar question! I haven’t used it other than played with the free trial. It seems great but I want to be sure to tell any client that may use this that it is just a recommendation and they need to seek professional advice from a RD in person if they want a specific meal plan. There are options to give the client their protein, carb and fat intake recommendations and then you can provide a list of foods that meet that. For me, I am more comfortable not pushing that fine line of meal planning so I stick with the “here are guidelines to follow, but if you want a specific meal plan, go see a RD!”
