Has anyone recently received a sketchy personal training inquiry?
I received an inquiry this week from a man asking me to train his daughters while they are in town. Asked for prices, etc, and if I took credit cards. Replied with his requests, and now just got asked to over chard his card and make arrangements for Western Union delivery. Needless to say, I won’t be taking on this client, but wondering if anyone else has encountered this? Man also said he was hearing impaired and in hospital (reason for emails, requests, etc). Huge red flag!
I was wondering if this happened to anyone else…smh!
Same person w/the same sorry ass script contacted me about 4yrs ago…and again yesterday. It sounded so familiar. Today he texted again since I didnt respond yesterday & the 2nd part of his story gave it all away.
Things fell through last time because he tried to avoid meeting for the consultation-assessment & what do ya know, now he has car trouble & and will have his “driver” bring them but wants to handle transactions for them electronically.
He’s such an annoying waste of time!!What a LOSER!! Be careful everyone & I’m so glad i found this post! Don’t give out or confirm ANY personal information.
Glad to see everyone is getting more adept at spotting these scams. I always ignore the obvious ones, but some start out normally. Then they always request something out of the ordinary. I always insist on there being no payment until I have met with a client. That pretty much eliminates all the scams.
