I have received some great leads form the IDEA site. The only thing I can suggest is to complete your profile to 100% and stay as active as you can. Eventually people will notice you and start searching for you. It also depends on the geographical area in which you reside at, since it varies form location to location. I hope this helps and good luck.
I have received great leads/clients from the IDEA site (and even a connection or two). I agree with Harris to make sure your profile is complete. Also, if you have clients who have been successful and happy with your services, it may help to ask them for a testimonial. Always ask–many times clients are happy to do this and building a foundation of testimonials may help when people are searching for a trainer.
In addition, other suggestions I would have are to make sure you have a professional looking photo (which you do!), and to just be yourself when writing about what you offer. Think about what sets you apart from others with regard to your services.
IDEA is a wonderful and professional resource to use in many ways, and it’s great to be able to use this to also market our skills. Also consider other ways to market yourself in addition to this site.
Good luck to you!
I have also gotten leads through IDEA FitnessConnect.
Your profile is an opportunity to present yourself and show who you are but also how you set yourself apart.
Since the profile allows people to link to your website, make sure that this looks very good, too, and is consistent with your presentation at IDEA. I clicked on it and initially thought I was on a wrong page because I felt there was a disconnect.
I have gotten more leads than I can use through IDEA. I think it is because of the great recommendations I have. Ask your clients, I have found mine very happy to recommend me. Not all of them have done it (those who did not refused because IDEA insists they register), you may want to tell them they will not be spammed if they are hesitant.
