I am with Paul on this one. Avoid all lower body exercises with the exception of mild stretches. Your client seems very motivated to work out regardless of the injury, and you should remind him or her that there will be many years of great workouts ahead as long as an injury is allowed to heal completely. Hamstrings strains are among those that have a propensity to settling in for the long nagging haul if not properly cured.
