Although there are norms in the salary range for this position, you will only be able to get whatever the facility which you are applying to is willing to pay you. Our industry is very unregulated. You can always negotiate, but chances are there won’t be much room to maneuver. If you are someone who has a lot of experience and some great ideas which can generate some extra revenue for that particular club, then you have better chances in asking for more money either as a percentage of what you can generate or as a bonus at the end of each pay period (monthly yearly, etc.).
You can always ask the interviewer (many times they will let you know what that number is) about the salary range and then it’s up to you how you will approach it from that point on. Good luck to you.
