For those Fitpros who offered “free first session”, what % of those people became clients?
I learned very quickly to NOT give anything away for free. I used to do a “free” assessment…that lasted longer than a regular session, then I would tell each prospective client my findings, and then…they would take that information and try to find a “cheaper” trainer. I now do an e mail interview only, and I offer assessments at a higher price than regular sessions unless they sign on for a package, and only then would I roll that over. I have not gotten any client from free assessments, but I have gotten some after the charged assessment, there is more value put on the time and effort if there is a charge versus free.
