Following up with clients after they are finished training with you
I sell personal training packages & I usually follow up after the client is on their own asking them how things are going etc. Most of the times I get answers or questions back, which Im happy to deal with. Does anyone follow up with those particular clients that you haven’t seen since your last session in the gym? I knew this was going to be the case from day one with this one particular client. It been weeks no sign of her in the gym at all. What would you do?
Hello Joan Thompson,
You use the word “finished”. When a client is finished training with me, I let them go and I stay in loose contact with friendly conversation on the chance we bump into each other. For those who mention working with me later, I contact them in a timely manner using their preferred form of communication. There is a fine line between helpful and pushy. I do my best to remain professional and available for clients when they are ready. I find that setting good examples and staying friendly gets them to come around. Some people need a few years, so, patience and understanding are paramount.
You also say “ I knew this was going to be the case from day one with this one particular client.” In that case I am upfront and honest about the relationship this client wants to have with me. Many times they want temporary guidance for an independent healthy lifestyle.
It is never too late, either; especially, at six weeks.
Thank you,
Natalie ~

Hello Joan, I work as an editor in the company – https://papersediting.com/. Our clients often bring their documents, papers for verification. One day, one of the regular customers didn’t come on the agreed day for his documents. When I got in touch with him, he was on vacation, forgot about this papers, we agreed on another day. But also, he didn’t return at the agreed time. I waited about a week and contacted him again. He was sick all this time after the holidays. I believe that you should recruit, because a person often needs to be motivated and this is very important in sports and in life. If you motivate them, they will achieve results with you. Be a persistent motivator for them! I wish you success!
