I’m having the same problem I have no movement what so ever in my ankle, and what makes it worse is my surgeon was in an accident and broke both his arms, I have asked for physical therapy and been told it’s no good for me. 12 weeks later I still can’t walk because of the pain. I try to massage my calf muscle to stop it seizing up all together. Good luck to you and hope you can share what treatment you do get
I’m not answering; I’m asking the same question. I had ankle fusion surgery 2 years ago; I no longer have a surgeon or a physical therapist. The bone should now be fully fused, so there is no longer any risk that exercises will wreck the surgery, but it is very difficult to come up with exercises that will stretch the muscle in that calf because the ankle doesn’t bend much. All of the people that answered the question just say to consult the surgeon or the physical therapist. Does anyone have any other ideas?
