You still need to consider the calorie intake, as well as your vitamin intake. Taking synthetic replacement capsules is not always a solution to some of these products because the absorption rate is often faster with concentrated capsules than in food. I have to eat Gluten Free for medical reasons and unfortunately find that calories tend to be higher than in similar products containing gluten. People are often under the impression that it means it is “healthier” and of course for those of us with intolerances it is – but from a weightloss stand point this is not always true.
I find so many people who do not need to eat gluten free have been, and while there are some benefits to this for some people – others expect it to automatically equal weight loss. This is not the case!
