I updated my ipod last night and all of my songs got wiped. 4,000 songs, gone. A few songs were corrupted and it’s aborting the resync so after many hours, I’ve figured a temporary work-around on another device.
BUT, I’m starting to think I should move over to Spotify. I don’t teach with a lot of 32-beat consistent music any more, so for a monthly subscription, I could just make playlists and play music in class. No more hassle with itunes.
I use very few ZIN materials from Zumba. Almost none. Are there any Zumba instructors here who use no ZIN music at all and just Spotify?
Thanks for your post, Janet. I used to use Mixmeister to do all sorts of fun things mixing songs together and making a pause-free playlist. I do enjoy it, but it’s too time consuming for the time I’m willing to devote to Zumba these days. Only 25% of my classes are Zumba.
A streaming service for Zumba would work, I think, since I use so little ZIN music. I still follow the “formula,” (by the way, the 70/30 rule was re-stated in the newest B1 manual, so it’s still predominantly international and of that mostly Latin, but the percentage rule is gone). I just like to use original artists and to find my own, unique songs.
Have fun with Mixmeister! You’re probably way better at it than I am since I haven’t used it in years, so don’t be surprised if you get a message saying, “Can you help me make this song 30 seconds longer?”
