Does anyone have any recommendations for “must-reads” with respect to fitness and/or nutrition? Thanks!
Great recommendations, Karin! I, too, really enjoy reading Pollan’s work given how practical his approach is to eating and nutrition. I’d have to say that my favorite book of his is ÔÇÿFood Rules: An Eater’s Manual.’ There are TONS of simple and useful tips that can help improve most people’s eating habits (including my own).
As for fitness books, I’ve found a lot of value in pretty much anything written by Gray Cook. He has a wealth of experience in the field of functional movement screenings and progressions. I got hooked on Cook after reading his book ÔÇÿAthletic Body in Balance.’
Leslie, do you work with a particular type of clientele (i.e. special populations, elderly, children/adolescents, sport specific)? Let me know and I might be able to recommend some additional resources for you to check out. Otherwise, happy reading!
