does anyone have any comments regarding the Personal Fitness Chef Certification from the Spencer Institute
The Personal FItness Chef course is awesome. I noticed they recently revised the program and I found it to be informative and engaging. To me, it was not really relevant that a fitness chef course is not accredited by NCCA – the AADP was sufficient enough for me. I’ve also taken their Wellness Coach and Master Health and Wellness Coach programs and both were stellar (although Wellness coach was entry level, perfect for me to start with). My .02.
While I don’t have an informed opinion, or what I would consider one, after looking at their accreditations there is no mention of NCCA, National Commission for Certifying Agencies. Instead they state they are accredited by The Certification and Accreditation Board of the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP). A search on Google results in a Wikipedia page that points them out as unrecognized higher education accreditation organizations. The define it as “This article includes entities that are engaged in higher education accreditation or have been identified as being accreditors, but which lack appropriate recognition or authorization.”
A link to the page can be found below, reading through the paragraphs at the top of the page should be enough to really settle any debate you might have.
