I was wondering which program you went through and whether you would recommend it. I have found a few online however I am unsure where to begin. I recently received my group fitness cert – however I am not necessarily looking for just group fitness kickboxing. I have taken an MMA style kickboxing class and would love to incorporate a lot more of that in my one on one training.
Hi, I recommend AFAA for the Group Exercise Primary along with the AFAA Kick Box certification.
The 2 courses cover it all. You can then choose how you teach the class. Athletic style drills or dance. You will have enough back ground on how to wrap the hands to bags and gloves. Safety for all will be covered.
I am certified by Powder Blue for Turbo Kick. It is more dancy however you can make it more athletic. It’s a preformatted class so it’s easy to learn. I think this program is best for Group Fitness. You can find out more at www.turbokick.com I have been certified with them for going on 5 years.
Tactix Method by NESTA & John Spencer Ellis.
Great course at a great price. I am a martial arts instructor with 26 years of experience and a NESTA Certified trainer and this course taught me a lot I didn’t know and was very informative and interesting. Lead by John Spencer Ellis, himself in all the on line videos. http://www.tactixmethod.com/
