Do you utilize Trigger Point Therapy as part of your client’s training program?
It’s not in our scope to do trigger point therapy on clients.
That said, teaching our clients how to care for their own bodies would be within our scope. For example, showing clients how to roll their major muscles using the TPT roller, how to use the TPT balls to roll under their arches (I show my clients who work at computers how to roll up and down their wrists).
So maybe contact TPT and see what their certification entails. If it’s to instruct individuals on self-care, as opposed to applying therapeutic touch to a client, then you might find it within your scope.
Another thing to check out is Melt. They have a 16 hour and a 50 hour program for teaching group classes in foam rolling and other restorative care. Instructors don’t provide the therapy, they provide the instructions to the individuals to do their own stretches and rolls.
