I am a huge fan of using HRM’s. Being able to track training intensities is crucial. Now a days monitors are cheap enough and accurate enough, that it is realistic for everyone.
Beyond just the HRM, tracking our Heart Rate Variability can be a complete game changer. This not only allows us to improve our fitness, but overall health.
Hello Lawrence with Gym Insight,
I like to use the heart rate monitor for the client to be aware of their rate of perceived exertion and talk test. The tech gear is like any other equipment: a “toy” to keep the client motivated to continue. The wearable technology is not to be relied on solely; but, used as another teaching/monitoring tool.
