Hi Gabori. Good question. A proper dynamic warm-up before a workout actually incorporates stretching! The type of stretching involved in a dynamic warm-up is dynamic stretching, taking the various muscles and body parts through a full range of motion. I’m guessing that in your question you’re comparing a “dynamic warm-up” to STATIC stretching? If so, the current research and thinking is that dynamic warm-up/stretching is preferred. I use it with ALL of my athletes, as well as with my general fitness clients.
