Do you think having 1-6 week challenges actually work to motivate clients and why?
Great answers. I agree. Short-term goal accomplishment can be a great incentive. It’s workable, it’s realistic and I think think that it proves to your client that designated goals can be achieved. Long-term goals are so far off in the horizon that many who are not athletes can’t relate. Short-term goal achievement can be a great incentive.
Good luck
Hello Lelia,
I think any challenge is benificial regardless of the length/time. Be creative with your challenges to your clients.

I think this is a gretat tool for continued client motivation!
I Hope This Helps!

I would argue against it.
It gets people on the “diet” mentality. Health and fitness isnt some change you do for a few months then go back to your old habits. Thats why so many people regress back to their past weight after reaching a healthy point.
Its about getting small changes into their lives over a long amount of time and building on those.
It’s definitely effective. The clients don’t feel forced into a long-term deal. I think it’s psychologically much more motivating because of the short duration. People forget that lifestyle changes start one day at a time & this format encourages them to just focus on the “now” rather than the “what if”.
