My clients must pay in advance, in full. If they’re taking one session at a time, they pay for three sessions in advance. If they take one of my packages, they pay for the entire package in advance. I do not like to be put in the position of bill-collector, or to deal with the awkwardness of reminding the client that they owe me money. Additionally, because of my “late cancellation” policy, if I’m already holding their money in advance, clients are much more aware of the policy and respect it by cancelling ahead so as to not forfeit $$$. Without that, I’d once again be put in the situation of trying to collect money from them for a session that they never took – good luck with that one! 🙂
