Do you prefer online learning for CECs on in-person (conferences, workshops, etc)?
I much prefer an in-person experience; there’s the opportunity for actual live chatting, questioning, debating, case studies, role playing, networking, professional exchange of information/advice, all in real time, imagine that! Guess I’m showing my age with that:)….
However, I have done a couple of online courses for CECs and they definitely have their advantages: no travel time or expense, you can work within your own schedule (to a point), you don’t have to talk with anyone (if you’re not in the mood). I found the price to be fair, considering the points above.
I much rather take CeCs in person. I have taken a few online courses because I was curious about the process. I found them not very stimulating.
Fortunately, I can go to IDEA World every year and take occasionally additional courses and am always awash in CeCs. However, the expense for travel is substantial and makes for a lot of money per CeC hour.
The online versions are a good alternative.
