When I first began personal training I did, because I felt as if i was giving away my services for free. But as I grew professionally I began to understand you have to give a little to get! Many people don’t understand (a lot of trainers not all) are very knowledgeable individuals, not just people who count reps for you. By answering their question you began to develop a relationship with the person, and show them you really are knowledgeable in your field. So even if that person doesn’t become your client-they might tell someone about you who is looking for a good trainer. It’s a win/win!
