Summer time tends to be a slow season for most businesses. Yet, it can be the best time to create marketing which will increase your business during the rest of the year. Is there something you have done in the years past which has proven to be an effective way to increase your business in the coming months? Or is there something you will be doing this summer which you hope is successful in creating more business or business opportunities?
Hi Debi. One “adjustment” that I make (not just this Summer, but every Summer) is that I offer more frequent outdoor training sessions and clinics. I work a lot with residential communities and with school-aged athletes. Both constituencies offer a client base that is ready to get outdoors and workout (i.e. residents who are primarily working in offices etc. all day/week, and school-aged athletes who can benefit from outdoor workouts). Besides, when you live in an area that has all four-Seasons, providing more outdoor workouts in the Spring and Summer is a welcomed relief for many of my clients.

You may want to reverse your thinking and start your “summer programs” in the spring! You can use summer beach time as the basis of your marketing campaign.
Summer programs are planned in the early spring, late winter months.
It’s never too late though! You can start a “summer workout” to get ready for back to school.
