Do you know anyone who has tried the South Beach Diet?
I recommend staying away from diets. Rather amend your health and fitness habits permanently. People who do diets always revert back to the habits once they achieve their goals.
Health and wellness should always be long-term goals, and not short-term remedies.
Best,
Yes, I know several people. They lost the weight, and then it found them.
The appeal of the South Beach Diet and all the other before and after is that it tells people exactly what to do and relieves them of the self-responsibility of making healthy food choices.
ALL diets work as long as they reduce caloric consumption. And almost as many fail when people return to ‘normal’ life.
I agree. I do not believe in “diets” at all. I do believe in healthy food choices, balanced meals and snacks throughout the day to keep your blood sugar stable. It is the best for your body and you don’t get tired through the day. Every nutrition program is different based on age, goals, weight, body fat etc. To say one “diet” is right for everyone who wants to lose weight or be healthy is untrue and unsafe. Many factors have to be addressed.
