Do you give gifts to your clients?
Hello! With the Holiday coming up I was thinking of making a litttle something for my clients. It being that as fitness professionals we talk often about good nutirition I was thinking of giving them a little homemade booklet of some of my favorite healthy recipes (all credited to where the credit should go). I am not talking about making them meal plans or anything of that sort since that is not in my scope of practice, but just a nice little book of recipes that are healthy. What do you think? Do you give your clients things for Holidays? What do you give?
I like your idea, but being the ‘ever-cautious’ trainer that I am 🙂 I would have one MAJOR caveat. If it were me and I decided to do this, I would check with my business attorney before proceeding to make sure that you include the proper disclaimers in your booklet! With so many people on diet restrictions, special diets, and with food allergies, I’d be very careful with this. A great idea, but in today’s world it’s always better safe than sorry.
The answer to your larger question is that I don’t give Xmas gifts to my clients but do send a card. I will sometimes give gifts during ‘personal special occasions’ (e.g. a new baby, a birthday etc). I hope this helps.

When I had my own business years ago I used to do something small for regular clients. I remember giving a coupon to bring a friend for free to a group class, which was well received because I never advertised (save word of mouth) and I never had sales or discounts. I remember giving I also did a small gathering in my space once that was really nice.
One of the best and most successful places I taught always had a holiday party for the members and staff, which was always well attended. (In fact it was at one of those events that I met my husband).
The plus side to what you are thinking of doing is that it is not a cheap plastic water bottle. It is personal and involves you going to some effort for them.
