Do you allow your clients to “pay as they come” or pay in advance for a set number of sessions, regardless if they show or not?
Hey u, seems I’m going against the grain from what I can see some of the responses are but…
If you know anything about this work it is; just because u got 40 hrs booked on by Sunday 4 nxt wk don’t mean u will see that # by Saturday.
I don’t believe in penalizing people for their lives/schedules. Pause a second, I’m nobody’s fool either. I have been training for over 10 years and this fact has not changed.
If you feel people are taking advantage of your systems, evaluate your PEOPLE! BS is BS, I don’t care from where it stems. What is your goal? the $, more people, being viewed as THE professional/alternative among many?
What is more appropriate for u:
1. A disgruntled participant because you took several sessions away, who may/not resign now?
2. The attitude, “well they paid already so whatever?”
3. Dealing with some of what comes with this field. Offering some exception (only u can rate/decide whats best for your situation) but never accept constant abuse of your policy.
I have eaten more than my fair share of missed sessions by clients but, I know it has been appreciated by them also. They are more than willing to accommodate me when needed and I enjoy client retention very much.
*note 4 ya*
*U HAVE TO GIVE TO GET, DON’T BE OVERLY PERSUADED BY SOME OF THESE COMMENTS (mine included!). U DON’T KNOW WHAT THE REALITY REALLY IS ON THEIR SIDE OF THE WORLD (it’s the internet luv) & we are all wrong @ some point.
My point is, they know I give, so they also know I expect… the business relationships I have enjoyed since my entering this industry will last longer than anyone can hold a dollar. ADVANCE PAYMENT IS YOUR FRIEND, DOES NOT HAVE TO B THE RULE, CAUSE THEY GET BROKE TOO…
CHOOSE WHO/WHAT YOU WILL B TO THEM. DON’T GET IT TWISTED THEY CAN WALK ANYTIME THEY WANT. What do you offer as incentive to keep them coming back? Not suggesting shorting self, just enlarge the scope some, view it again and look within for direction.
Nothing wrong w/making a mistake, it’s wrong to be a predicate offender…
just a thought…
