This is an interesting feed on this company you might like to read. All the positive comments are from people currently coaches (which actually means salesmen/recruiters), even the one who claims he is not, you see a later post showing he is.
Everybody has to make choices about their business. I suppose this sort of business could make you money if you are willing to sell expensive supplements and other products and sign up other people to ‘coach’ and sell products and recruit others… and so on. Maybe if you are really good at sales it would get you money. Sadly if you are a better trainer than salesman it could potentially cost you money. I personally do not sell supplements, or other products. I suppose I might do so if I thought it was something very useful for a fair price…. I sell the knowledge and experience I have gained, and my help for those who wish to seek something really positive in their lives.
IDEA has always, as far as I can see, tried to make its place as an organization for people who consider themselves professionals, who care about helping people to greater health and fitness, rather than simply chasing the greatest money making opportunities. Your membership in this organization suggests a great sense of professional pride, and a desire to work in a field that helps people to maximize their innate potentials. And I have some questions whether this business is geared toward helping clients, or making money from their hunger to have a better body.
Most of all, I do not see my students as opportunities to sell something they may or may not need, for more than it is worth. I treat them as I wish to be treated, as fellow humans worthy of honesty and respect in all my dealings.
