CEC’s for NASM at the 2014 World Fitness Convention

Can I get all my required cec’s for NASM if I attend the Idea World Fitness Convention 2014 without going to any pre or post conference extras? I think I need 2.0 credits for NASM. I don’t have any cec’s now.

Hi Jason,

you should be able to. This is what it says here in the CeC information portion of the conference information:

“Earn up to 23 CECs during the event , plus 4 to 8 additional CECs available during Preconference and Postconference workshops from all of the leading accreditation organizations. Get Continuing Education Credits from ACE, ACSM, AFAA, BOC, NASM-CPT, NESTA, NETA, NFPT, NSCA-CPT/CSCS, CanfitPro and W.I.T.S. Contact your certifying agency with any questions.

Note: IDEA does not determine which sessions qualify for credit or the number of credits offered.

The complete CEC grid will be available for download in June.”

Karin’s response is great and right on. Contact NASM to find the approved CECs for the 2012 convention.
