Career advice for personal trainer/ fitness instructor?
Hallo Silvia,
Hi Silvia,
I strongly suggest to take a look at the MELT Method. I have been certified since 2009 and have expanded my business significantly. It’s still in the beginnings even though the number of trainers is increasing, However, you would be one of the first in Arizona. The training is rather expensive but it is a good investment.

Health coaching is another way to add on to your career. I have found that to make lasting change happen for clients, they need to take ownership of the process. Health coaching teaches you about nutrition and behavior change, as well as giving you the techniques for making it happen vs. just theory.

Hi Silvia, I think with the increase in personal trainers has taken the focus off client results. I have worked steady for 30+ years but, I have done so by word of mouth. I work hard to help clients achieve their goals. There are many trainers now and, they will continue to increase in all fields. So, what ever field you choose to follow the competition will increase. The only fact that ever will separate you from other trainers is your client success. This you should promote. it can never be denied. Be the best you can be! Good luck, Brian Rozzi.
Hi Silvia,
I think the best way to go about this is to grow your own business to a point where you have other trainers working for you. If you want to make a good living, not being physically demanding on your body and still help clients reach their goals, I believe this is the best way to approached it. Having your own business will give you the freedom to do the things you like the way you want too. If you have a 5-10 year business plan, you should be able to grow it to the point where not only you can achieve all of the above, but even sell it and make a great profit in the process. You just need to figure out which way you would want to grow your business and the type of clients you want to approach and specialize with.
Good luck!
Best,
Harris
