Can I hire personal trainers that are certified to work in my personal training studio even if Im still not certified? I got my personal training education at National Personal Training Institue Orlando Florida, unfortunately even though this is a very structure school as is theories and hands on I don’t think insurance company recognize them as the other agencies. Im working toward my certification with ACE, however I have a rented location with equipment as an opportunity open up for me. I understand that liability is a big issue that is why I would not train until I get certified, however I have the location and everything in place. Your thoughts on this. Thanks
I don’t think there is any reason why you cannot hire a personal trainer to work for you even though you yourself do not have a certification as long as you have proper liability insurance for your studio. If you hire those trainers as independent contractors, then they would have to have their own liability insurance anyway.
You not being personally certified is irrelevant as it relates to owning/operating a studio. So long as the trainers you hire/staff are certified and there is the necessary liability insurance in place to protect you, them, and your studio, you should be good!
You most certainly can. Just be sure you have liability insurance for the studio and the instructor(s) you hire are insured as well. If you “hire” them, you can provide the insurance, if you bring them in as a subcontractor, you can require them to provide their own insurance (what we do with outside trainers and group X instructors.)
