By offering balance in a pregnant women’s workout, do you think it is increasing intensity?
Ask yourself…
What is intensity? In a nutshell, it is how hard or how fast. If are making the balance challenges progressively more difficult, then YES! It is becoming more intense.
Here is an example…..
Balancing on one foot on a stable surface.
Balancing on one foot on a stable surface with the leg in full extension behind you.
Balancing on one foot on a stable surface with the leg extended in front of you.
Balancing one one foot on a stable surface with the leg extended out to side.
Balancing on one foot on a stable surface with one’s eyes closed and with one leg extended behind you; then in front, then towards the side.
Balance on one foot on an Airex pad and then following the same sequence as above.
After doing the above, progress it to BOSU ball.
Is it more intense or challenging? Absolutely!
