Thanking them whenever it matters
Telling them that you appreciate all they do
Giving them gift certificates when applicable
Including them in making decisions
Giving them more responsibilities
Using the word please
Increasing their pay when deserved
Doing a nice random task for them: ie, getting their car washed.
1. Provide incentives when they complete continuing education and then allow them to lead a team meeting and teach others what they have learned.
2. Provide constructive criticism that offers solutions; let them be a part of defining those solutions.
3. Ask them for more feedback than you would ever give them.
4. Don’t have too many rules!
